Winter Comfort

Sunshine makes me smile.

Just trying to stay comfortable in the brutal South Carolina winters. Its been colder than usual and add rain, mist and fog and you get cold to the bone. I stay in and hibernate like the northerners and when the sun comes out, I get out. The low country of South Carolina has some of the most enchanting places to spend an afternoon. One of my favorites is the Old Sheldon Church in Beaufort County. Think fresh air, sunshine, bad mood buster, relaxing. (I was born and raised and lived much of my life in Minnesota so I realize I now have nothing to complain about.)

Comfortable and active can mean sweats and a hoodie or something that is just as comfortable but looks great if you want to stop for a bite of lunch or run some errands. An over-sized nubby sweater that totally covers the tush, some straight leg jeans or jeggings and my favorite footwear.....boots. These are rain boots, generically known as wellies. Love these because they don't have a crazy pattern and I can dress them up (think steeplechase) or down and always have dry feet.
